The Kiwanis Club of Geneva, NY, is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one community and one child at a time.
During the history of Kiwanis involvement in Geneva, the club has supported many community activities. Since the club was re-formed in 2014, it has supported several Geneva and regional organizations, and has sponsored events such as an Easter Egg hunt for the children of the community.
Kiwanis also sponsors the Builders Club at Geneva Middle School, an organization which introduces service to the community to students there.
Kiwanis, which was organized in 1915, has always been involved in helping the children of the community where the clubs exist as well as children around the world. Kiwanis International successfully eliminated Iodine Deficiency Disorder from the world, and currently is working on a project to eliminate Neonatal Maternal Tetanus.
People interested in serving their community while working with like-minded individuals are always welcome to join the club. We currently meet at Dana's Time Out, 285 Hamilton st., Geneva, 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 6 p.m.
